PORTSMOUTH, Va. – A family is without a home after a house fire broke out in Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon. Portsmouth Fire and Rescue was called to the residence near the intersection of Columbia Street and Amelia Avenue around 1:40 p.m. They arrived to find heavy fire coming from the attic vents of a single-story home.
