Driver in fatal motorcycle wreck now charged with manslaughter after DUI

The driver charged with driving under the influence following a fatal collision with a motorcyclist in Virginia Beach has additionally been charged with manslaughter.

Police responded to the 5000 block of Ferrell Parkway following a report of an accident involving a motorcycle at about 9:02 p.m. on Aug. 16. The man riding the motorcycle, 53-year-old Randall Gollihur, died at the scene .

Brittany Harris, 35, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the wreck, was arrested and initially charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and refusing a breathalyzer test. On Monday, Virginia Beach police added a charge of DUI manslaughter against Harris.
