South Carolina Man Sentenced to Over Eight Years for Gun Store Burglary in Virginia

ROANOKE, Va. – Bradley Wayne McGraw, a 43-year-old man from Gaffney, South Carolina, was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison for his role in the burglary of a Patrick County, Virginia gun store during the early morning hours of September 22, 2022. McGraw had previously pleaded guilty to charges of stealing firearms from a federal firearms licensee and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Court documents reveal that McGraw, along with an accomplice, Justin Whitaker of Mooresville, North Carolina, executed the burglary by stealing a truck and using it to forcefully open the back door of Rabbit Ridge Guns Shop and Range. Surveillance footage captured the masked duo as they entered the store and stole more than a dozen firearms, including shotguns, rifles, and pistols.

Whitaker was sentenced earlier this month for his involvement in the crime.
