Norfolk Animal Care Center ask community to donate

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Animal Care Center needs help stocking their pet pantry to continue supporting the community throughout the fall.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, the community is invited to participate in a donation drive. The goal is to “Stuff the Bus.” From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the NACC’s Waggin’ Wheels will be parked in front of the shelters at 5585 Sabre Road.

“All you have to do is drive up and shelter staff will be on hand to accept your generous donations of dog and cat food, any flavor, any brand, wet or dry – as long as it’s new and unopened. No need to get out of the car,” a release states.

Some most-needed items besides food include new or gently used towels, blankets, toys, leashes and harnesses of all sizes.

There’s also an Amazon wish list for those unable to donate in person.
