Parker McCollum Cancels Upcoming Show Due to Doctor’s Orders

Country star Parker McCollum embarked on his Burn It Down Tour in January 2024. Initially scheduled to wrap up Aug. 31, fans were thrilled when the “Hell of a Year” singer announced in April that he was adding 13 additional stops. Unfortunately, McCollum recently had some bad news for those planning to attend his Thursday (Sept. 19) show in Portsmouth, Virginia. The 32-year-old Conroe, Texas native is postponing that stop due to doctor’s orders.

Parker McCollum Has Been Placed on Vocal Rest

According to a statement shared to his Instagram story Wednesday (Sept. 18), Parker McCollum has been placed on vocal rest by his doctor. As a result, he is postponing Thursday’s (Sept. 19) show scheduled for Portsmouth, Virginia.

“It’s with a truly heavy heart that I have to announce we are having to postpone our show for Thursday in Portsmouth, VA,” McCollum wrote. “Been having such a damn good time with you all during this tour and I want to keep giving that stage everything I’ve got every night. My doctor has had me on vocal rest the past few days and one more day of rest should mean I’ll be ready to sing by Friday.”
