Norfolk police respond to walk-in gunshot victim Sunday night

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY)- The Norfolk Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night.

According to officials, just after 10:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for reports of a walk-in gunshot wound victim.

Officers arrived to the hospital and found a 31-year-old man suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. Police said the incident may have occurred on Berkley Avenue near Wilson Road.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information has been released.
