Naval Station Norfolk: Fleet Fest 2024 brings food, music, demonstrations and more

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Naval Station Norfolk is putting on its Fleet Fest 2024 on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The event is free and open to the public and includes shop tours, static displays, military demonstrations, a carnival, etc. Attendees can participate in guided tours onboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), USS Gonzalez (DDG66) and Coast Guard Fast Response Cutters.

And don’t forget the food trucks, live music and chili cook-offs.

Military demonstrations are expected to be performed by the U.S. Navy Search and Rescue, Military Working Dog, Landing Craft Air Cushion, U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue, Navy SEAL Insertion and Extraction.
