CPD: Fire department vehicle involved in crash; charges pending

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The Chesapeake Police Department responded to a crash involving a Chesapeake Fire Department vehicle Thursday afternoon.

According to officials, around 12:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Greenbrier Parkway and Kempsville Road for reports of a vehicle crash.

Police said that while the fire department vehicle was crossing the intersection with the lights and sirens on, it was involved in a crash with another vehicle.

No injuries were reported. Charges are pending, according to police.
