Get to know: Wanda Davis, mother of DB3 boxing brothers

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Wanda Davis was born and raised in Long Island, New York but moved to Norfolk in 1997 with a growing family.

She put her three boys, Kelvin, Keyshawn and Keon, into boxing at an early age. Their love for the sport grew and now, the three brothers, DB3 as they’re known, are all fighting on the same card Friday night at Norfolk’s Scope Arena.

It’s the returning of big time boxing to the 757 for the first time since October 1994 when Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker fought James McGirt.

WAVY sports director Craig Loper shares more of Wanda’s story in the video above.
