NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — From a makeshift kitchen inside a small hotel room, Reo Jones has figured out how to feed five children. She uses a hot plate, a microwave oven, disposable plates and plastic bags for popcorn treats.
A three-year-old, a one-year-old, and four-year-old twins greeted 10 On Your Side’s Regina Mobley at the door with a big hugs around her knees and ankles.
Their lives have been turned upside down since they were evicted from an apartment in the Norview section of Norfolk a few months ago. It was shared by three generations, including 52-year-old Archie Jones, who was arrested late last month and charged with murder after the stabbing death of 35-year-old Brandon Rhodes outside the Tinee Giant convenience store.

“We have had several setbacks where we really was trying to maintain and keep focus, basically,” said the suspect’s sister, Gail Jones. “I start noticing the changes in my little brother when he was doing different things that I wasn’t used to. So with that being said, I kind of watched him.”
