Over 200K square feet of land involved in Virginia Beach brush fire, officials say

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A brush fire in Virginia Beach was put out by crews on Saturday, but not before over 6 acres of land became involved in the incident, officials say. The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) was dispatched to a brush fire around 8 a.m. When crews arrived around 8:12 a.m., heavy smoke was seen coming from an area around 2000 feet off of Princess Anne Road.
