VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Grant Holloway Holiday Invitational High School Indoor Track and Field Meet brings together some of the nation’s top high school athletes.
The invitational, hosted by Track 757 and Oscar Smith High School and directed by Keenan Galloway and Stan Holloway, is set to return to the Virginia Beach Sports Center Dec. 21-22.
According to a press release, it will highlight Virginia Beach’s reputation as a hub for elite indoor track and field competition and showcase the continued success of the Track 757 program, which has played a pivotal role in developing the area’s premier youth athletes.
Featured competitions include the 55m dash, 55m hurdles, 4x800m relay and 500m run.
This year’s event marks a special occasion, as Olympic gold medalist Grant Holloway returns to the region after securing victory in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
“I’m honored to come home and give back to the community and the sport that helped make me the person I am today,” said Grant Holloway.
