Norfolk man arrested, accused of second-degree murder

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was arrested on Dec. 19 in connection to a homicide in August, police said.

Norfolk police investigate fatal shooting of 18-year-old

On Aug. 16, around 11:50 p.m., police were called to the 5100 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. Police found 18-year-old John E. Daughtry III with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Daughtry later died at the hospital.

As a result of this investigation, homicide detectives have charged 21-year-old Nasir E. Parker with second-degree murder, two counts of use of a firearm, robbery and conspiracy.

Norfolk Police arrested Parker on Dec. 19 in the 2700 block of Princess Anne Road, and he is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
