NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — You can call it a coincidence.
Sharon Tomosovich calls it her Christmas miracle.
A dog that was abandoned and nearly hit and killed outside the Norfolk SPCA Adoption Center and Veterinary Clinic has found her way to her forever family.

“I wasn’t actively looking, but I thought, one day the right dog will come along, and she just seemed like she was the right one,” Tomosovich said.
The right one — with the wrong family.
A few weeks ago, 10 On Your Side showed the video of a puppy that was abandoned outside the Norfolk SPCA. The puppy was tied to a pole, but broke loose and
“It broke my heart to see how someone could do something like that to her, or any animal, that there are other options,” Tomosovich said. And anyone that has a dog that they can’t keep, or can’t take care [of], just please — there are other options not to tie them to a gutter and walk away. She’s so lucky to be alive, and so many dogs aren’t.”
