Norfolk Tides announces new manager as part of 2025 coaching staff

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Norfolk Tides announced its 2025 Field Staff on Friday, including Tim Federowicz as their new manager, the 29th manager in Triple-A franchise history.

Federowicz is set to replace Buck Britton, who was manager from 2022 to 2024 and will be the Tide’s 16th ever manager. He will be the sixth manager in the Orioles affiliate franchise history, established in 2007.

According to a release, Federowicz, 37, has played professionally in 13 seasons, from 2008 to 2021, primarily as a catcher. After retiring in 2021, he started his Triple-A managerial career with the Tacoma Rainiers in the Pacific Coast League 2022.
