NORFOLK, Va. — As Hampton Roads prepares for severe winter weather, emergency shelters are available to help people get out of the cold.
- H.E.L.P.’s A Night’s Welcome will operate from Hampton Baptist Church, 40 Kings Way, and remain open throughout the snow event.
Newport News
- The Four Oaks Day Service Center, 7401 Warwick Blvd., will remain open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide a warming shelter and support services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Overnight shelter is available at the PORT Winter Shelter, which will be open and available through Friday. The current PORT site is Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church, 1024 Harpersville Rd.
