NORFOLK, Va. — Earlier this year, Ashley Alnissa, a California native, drove 37 hours from the West Coast to Norfolk to reunite with her mother, Dukezha Morris, after two years of silence. The emotional moment, filmed and shared on TikTok, went viral, amassing over a million views.
“I should have done things different as a mother,” Morris told 13News Now, explaining why the pair became estranged. “When she was upset at me or wanted to express herself, it was always, ‘But you did this or you said this.'”
