Gas in Virginia is 50 cents cheaper per gallon than it was a year ago

(WSET) — Gas prices in Virginia have risen slightly over the past week, but the cost of gas is still down more than 50 cents from where it was a year ago, according to statistics released by GasBuddy.

On Monday GasBuddy sent out its weekly gas price analysis, which shows that Virginia drivers are paying an average of $2.86 per gallon, which is 1.4 cents per gallon more than last week.

That price is significantly down from a year ago. GasBuddy said the average was $3.36 in March 2024…
