Man arrested in connection with fatal Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting in Norfolk on Saturday morning, according to police.

On March 15, Norfolk police were called to the 800 block of Wide Street around 5:15 a.m. for the report of a gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man, identified as Terrance D. Moore, 37, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives have charged Tayquan O. Gallop, 32, with second-degree murder and use of a firearm.

Gallop was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond…
