PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide Sunday afternoon.
At around 3:57 p.m., a call alerted officers to a possibly dead man at a business in the 500 block of Cumberland Avenue, near the High Street intersection. When police arrived at the scene, they found 51-year-old Bennie Anthony Artis Jr. unresponsive with gunshot wounds.
