CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A Virginia Beach man pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing U.S. Postal Service keys during a break-in at a Chesapeake post office last summer.
According to court documents, 48-year-old Lee Vann Tyner broke into the Jolliff Station post office on June 9, 2024, by shattering a glass door. Once inside, Tyner stole several postal keys used to access public mail boxes.
Just two days later, a Chesapeake police officer stopped an SUV suspected of being used in drug activity. Tyner, who was driving the vehicle, gave false identification to the officer and falsely claimed he had rented the SUV through the Turo app…
