By fostering a dog from NACC, you help create space in the shelter to accommodate emergencies that come into the shelter. Foster dogs also provide great companionship and purpose – your act of kindness is repaid in rewards that are beyond words! Foster families also help collect behavior information, pictures and other valuable information to help find a forever home for a dog.
Can’t foster long-term? Have a NACC Slumber Pack! Host a sleepover and weekend foster visits for Norfolk Animal Care Center dogs. Anyone (18 years+) can “check out” a dog for up to 72 hours.
