Two rescue volunteers injured in Virginia Beach ambulance collision

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Two volunteer rescue members were injured after their ambulance was involved in a collision in Virginia Beach on Saturday afternoon.

An ambulance from the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad crashed near the intersection of Baker Road and Wesleyan Drive while responding to a call at approximately 1:40 p.m.

Both volunteers were taken to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital and have since been released with “minor injuries but good spirits.”…
