VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Two additional people have been arrested in connection with a double shooting on Sassafras Court in April.
According to officials, on April 14 around 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Sassafras Court for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers saw two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 18-year-old Josiah Spann, was later charged with armed robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, shooting in the commission of a felony and use of a firearm in commission of a felony in connection with the shooting.

Eventually, the shooting on Sassafras Court was linked to a fatal shooting on South Budding Avenue, — which occurred on the same day — leading to Spann facing additional charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
