Norfolk redevelopment finalists to present proposals for Young Terrace, Calvert Square at public event

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority is giving residents and community members a closer look at what the future may hold for Young Terrace and Calvert Square.

Three development firms, selected as finalists in the housing authority’s search for a long-term partner, will present their proposals during a public event on Wednesday. The session runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Slover Library’s Community Engagement Room, 235 E. Plume St. in downtown Norfolk.

Each team previously submitted a written proposal earlier this year in response to NRHA’s call for redevelopment plans. Now, they’ll showcase visual presentations that highlight their past work and demonstrate how they would revitalize the two public housing communities…
