Suffolk police looking for Portsmouth man charged in woman’s killing, hospitalizing 2

SUFFOLK — Police are searching for a Portsmouth man charged with murder in the case of a Saturday morning shooting that left a woman dead and two others injured.

Officers responded at around 1:35 a.m. to an address near the intersection of Shoulders Hill Road and Laycock Lane, in the Sleepy Hole area of the city. A woman was found dead upon the officers’ arrival, a Suffolk Police Department statement said, along with two others with non-life threatening injuries who were take to local hospitals.

Derrick Dontre Corbett, 35, of Portsmouth is believed by police to be a suspect in connection to the shooting. He has been charged with multiple felony counts, including murder and two counts of attempted murder…
