‘Innocent Victims’ Portsmouth Police Chief shares ages of 4 shot during graduation party

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth Police Chief Steve Jenkins released the ages of the victims shot during a graduation party.

Portsmouth Public School students from Manor, I.C. Norcom, and Churchland High School graduated on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Several hours later, around 11:45 p.m., police were called for a shooting near the Cavalier Manor Recreation Center.

10 On Your Side crews reported two large crime scenes: one on Viking Street and another on Henderson Street.

When officers got to the scene of the graduation party, they located four victims — two adults and two teens shot. The victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
