NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Incumbent Commonwealth’s Attorney for Norfolk Ramin Fatehi, who has served in that role since 2021, is running against challenger John F. Butler in the June primary.
In an interview with WAVY, Fatehi was surprised how much money his competitor raised.
“Like crime is down. The jail population is down. Like, this is success. Like, why? Why did people raise three quarters of $1,000,000 to unseat me in a world of falling crime and falling jail numbers? That’s the only answer that I can think of is power.
