Norfolk food pantry expands to Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — The Salvation Army Portsmouth Corps is expanding across Hampton Roads as the food pantry — a service that has always been available in Norfolk — is now also in Portsmouth.

Salvation Army area Commander Major Chris Flanagan said this expansion comes as demand remains high for the services across Hampton Roads.

“A few months ago, we were all scrambling to get eggs, and then you put on top of that the price of gas and the price of electricity,” Flanagan said…
