VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A federal grand jury returned a direct indictment against John Butler III, 25, in connection with a 2024 robbery in Virginia Beach.
Butler, who is from Norfolk, was charged federally with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, unlawful carrying a concealed weapon (second offense) and robbery.
The crime occurred on Oct. 17, 2024 in the 600 block of Newtown Road.
