CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – After initially voting to deny a rezoning request from Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) in June, Chesapeake City Council approved the request by a 6-3 vote on July 15, according to the Chesapeake Climate Action Network.
VNG initially failed to appear to the original vote, but councilmembers brought the matter up for reconsideration which gave the request a chance for a revote.
