CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A young Chesapeake boy battling cancer hosted his second annual lemonade stand this weekend in an effort to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
Nate Wallace was diagnosed with neuroblastoma back in 2022. After going through chemotherapy and being declared cancer free last year, Nate’s cancer returned last month. Due to the heavy news, Nate’s family wasn’t sure whether they should hold the lemonade stand this year.
Ultimately, it was young Nate who made the decision to go forward and put the stand together. The Chesapeake boy and his family worked with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to host their stand this weekend, with the goal of raising $10,000 to go towards neuroblastoma research…
