PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The HRS show wants to give a big shoutout and salute to the men and women aboard the USS Mitscher! The guided-missile destroyer officially deployed from Naval Station Norfolk on Friday, July 25. They joined the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group on a mission to support global security.
The crew has trained extremely hard and is ready to represent Hampton Roads and the U.S. Navy with pride, professionalism, and power. To every sailor on board, we thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your strength.
