Kill Devil Hills shooting leaves one dead, another airlifted to Norfolk, VA

One person is dead, and another has been airlifted to a medical facility in Norfolk, VA, after a shooting occurred at Avalon Pier, according to Rachel Tackett, Town of Kill Devil Hills’ PIO.

The Kill Devil Hills Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at Avalon Pier, located at 2111 N. Virginia Dare Trail in Kill Devil Hills on July 31, around 2:37 p.m.

First responders arrived on the scene around four minutes after the initial call, around 2:41 p.m., and located two individuals with gunshot wounds.
