NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Six people were rescued by the Coast Guard after their ship went adrift in a storm squall off of Ocean View in Norfolk.
The Coast Guard Sector Virginia received a report around 9 p.m. Thursday of an 18-foot recreational vessel that became adrift off of Ocean View, and it said a crew from Coast Guard Station Little Creek rescued the six people and took them to a marina in Little Creek, where they arranged transportation to their vehicle in Willoughby Bay.
No one was injured, according to the Coast Guard, and the vessel currently is aground at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek awaiting salvage…
