VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A deluge of rain fell on some parts of Hampton Roads, including parts of Virginia Beach, where up to four inches fell Thursday.
More than four inches fell in the Mount Trashmore area of Virginia Beach, while nearly three inches fell in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake and more than 2.5 inches fell in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach.
Flooding occurred in parts of the region, including in Virginia Beach, where viewers and our own Madison Pearman sent photos and video showing the effects of the heavy rainfall within a short period in the Kempsville area. There were flash flood warnings for some parts of Hampton Roads.
Another viewer, Teresa Matthews, sent video of rainfall at Mount Trashmore.
