VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach teachers held a rally in the Town Center area of the city on Sunday.
The rally comes after over 100 Virginia Beach City Public School employees sued the district, arguing they hid an upcoming increase in health insurance premiums until after contracts were signed.

Virginia Beach attorney Timothy Anderson is behind the lawsuit, and he said that many of the teachers feel like they are victims of fraud.
“So, earlier this week, I filed a lawsuit on behalf of more than 100 Virginia Beach city employees who felt like they were induced into their contracts this year by fraud,” Anderson said. “The people who work in the schools are the most important people in government at the local level. They are the bread and butter of protecting us and educating our children. So we’re going to lean into them and we’re going to make sure that what happened to them is not going to happen to them again in the future.”…
