NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY)– A Chesapeake man was sentenced to prison for drug trafficking and firearm charges.
50-year-old Jamey Andre Bennett was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
According to officials, on October 9, 2024, a parcel containing approximately one kilogram of cocaine was intercepted by law enforcement. That parcel was due to arrive at Bennett’s residence under a fake name. Police substituted counterfeit cocaine in the parcel and conducted a controlled delivery of the parcel.
