HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — One person is dead after an overnight shooting in Hampton, police said.
According to officials, around 12:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Marion Road for reports of an attempted armed robbery.
Officers then spoke with the victim, who said he had just returned to his vehicle after completing a food delivery. He told police he was then approached by a person brandishing a firearm. Following this, the victim pulled out his own firearm, leading to an exchange of gunfire…
