NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A motorcyclist was reported dead after exceeding speeds of 140 mph on Interstate 264 W, according to Virginia State Police.
The incident happened around 1:24 a.m., when a VSP trooper noticed the motorcyclist traveling over 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. After the trooper turned on their lights the motorcyclist failed to stop, prompting a pursuit.
In the pursuit, the rider took the Ballentine Boulevard exit, running a red light and re-entered I-264 W. Troopers say speeds during the pursuit exceeded 140 mph…
