VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Officials are urging mariners to use extreme caution in the Rudee Inlet due to serious shoaling in the area.
In a release Friday, officials with the City of Virginia Beach said the shoaling spans the channel from the east end of the jetties and eastward 150 feet. The shoal is estimated to be 1.2 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) deep.
