A shooting incident in the early hours of Saturday resulted in three injuries and one fatality in Portsmouth, Virginia, according to police reports.
The police were alerted to the situation around 1:04 a.m. near the crossroads of Dahlia and Manly Streets, just a block away from Portsmouth Boulevard, near the Truxtun Historic District. One individual was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel, as per the Portsmouth Police Department.
The other three victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, all suffering from gunshot wounds. The identities of the victims have not been revealed. Meanwhile, elsewhere in Virginia, a man has pleaded guilty to killing an 80-year-old woman with a rock after she questioned whether he lived in her building.
Kurt Davis, 34, was charged with the murder of Susan Williams of Crystal Spring in February.
