VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach woman who has admitted to shooting and killing her elderly father said in a 911 call that she did so on purpose, and she told a detective she did it “to take care of the agony.”
Both details were among those revealed during a preliminary hearing for Jennifer Mulligan, 44, who faces first-degree murder and gun charges in the shooting death of her father, Woodard McClure, 90. The case has been certified to a grand jury, and Mulligan’s attorney plans to appeal her bond status, which was initially revoked.
