Ex-Portsmouth councilman found guilty of unlawful dissemination of images

A former Portsmouth city councilman who was recently convicted of assault and battery of a family member has also been found guilty of the unlawful dissemination or sale of images of another.

Portsmouth court records show that Barnes was tried and found guilty of the offense in April for an incident that happened back in November. He initially appealed the decision in Portsmouth Circuit Court, but chose to drop his appeal last week, which means the guilty decision made in the lower court stands…
