New education grant guidelines require students to be citizens to receive some federal funds in Virginia

VIRGINIA, USA — The Virginia Department of Education has issued an urgent grant conditions requirement for certain funding for career and technical education.

The department is asking superintendents across the Commonwealth to comply with federal citizenship verification rules in order to receive money from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act.
