Gov. Youngkin orders POW/MIA flag to be flown at full staff for Friday

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — To recognize National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which is held annually on the third Friday of each September, Governor Glenn Youngkin has ordered for all agencies and institutions to fly the POW/MIA flag at full staff.

The order, which was issued on Sept. 18, calls for the POW/MIA to be flown at full staff for Friday, Sept. 19 to honor those who are/were prisoners of war and for those who are still missing in action.
