NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were recently sentenced in connection with the fatal shooting of a man on Hollister Avenue in 2023.
Man dies following shooting on Hollister Ave. in Norfolk
According to a release, 24-year-old Leon Malek Williams was sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting and killing 28-year-old Jalaun Latavis Colbert on July 3, 2023. 23-year-old Bryston Alexander Davis was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiring to kill Colbert and shooting at Colbert’s house.
Officials said that on July 3, 2023 around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Hollister Avenue for reports of a gunshot disturbance.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers found Colbert suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was then taken to a local hospital where he later died…
