NORFOLK, Va. — The scheduled return of the USS Truxtun (DDG 103) has been delayed, the Navy confirmed.
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer was originally scheduled to return to its homeport of Naval Station Norfolk on October 6, finishing a nearly 7-month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
However, a Navy spokesperson updated on Thursday to say the arrival will not happen as planned “due to operational reasons.” No new date for the homecoming has been set at this time…
