Vehicles crash on Deep Creek Blvd. in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Deep Creek Boulevard at the intersection with Maxwell Avenue in Portsmouth Thursday afternoon, according to video sent in by a WAVY viewer.

Surveillance video shared with WAVY shows a vehicle at the beginning of the video driving along Deep Creek Boulevard when it can be seen and heard braking suddenly before being struck by another vehicle coming in the opposite direction. A timestamp on the video indicates the crash took place at 4:29 p.m.

The vehicle coming from the opposite direction flips over on its side, according to the video, and it comes to a stop shortly past the intersection. At that point, three people can be seen running away from the vehicle, and another white vehicle pulls up beside the vehicle that had flipped over before the video ends.
