Portsmouth crime and gun violence prevention task force calls on residents to speak up, get involved

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — “Gun violence doesn’t wait.”

Those are the words Portsmouth Crime and Gun Violence Prevention Task Force commissioner Lateacia Sessoms took to Facebook. According to the post and other commissioners 13News Now spoke with on Thursday, the task force’s meeting room was empty, with not a single member from the public attending.
